Having oil closer won't change our price at the pump unless someone steps in and says so, it sure isn't the guys in DC now.

dollarwatcher, you obviously have no clue what you are talking about. Your ignorance is most laughable. No land was taken nor bought. TransCanada offers a landowner a fair market value to lease the easement for the pipeline (ROW) to pass through. The landowner will receive an annual lease fee as long as the pipeline is buried there. If the landowner does not agree with the lease rate offered, then eminent domain is exercised and the amount will be decide in court. This is to prevent gold diggers from holding up projects to extort more money from the pipeline companies.

Please do some homework before you open your big mouth. It really stinks!

The US already imports more Canadian oil than anywhere else. Why not strengthen that relationship and wean our unfriendly oil suppliers from the revenue they get from us to use against us.

The Keystone pipeline should be built with the stipulation that refined fuels from this source stays in North America (Canada, US, Mexico).
